Brian’s plane crashes into the ground, and he is stranded with nothing but a hatchet his mom gave him for his birthday. He learns, often painfully, how to survive alone in the wilderness until help comes. At the same time, there is a secret about his parents’ divorce that is tearing him apart inside. Over time, he learns how to survive and grows by learning from his mistakes. In the end, he is finally rescued.
