What the book is about

Shasta is about to be sold by the man he believes is his father to a wealthy stranger, when the stranger’s horse suddenly speaks. The horse, Bree, reveals he is a talking horse from Narnia, and the two escape together toward the North. Along the way they meet Aravis and her talking mare Hwin, who are also running away. Their journey pulls them into a looming war, a desperate ride to warn the King of Archenland, and the discovery that Shasta is actually Cor, the long-lost son of that very king. The story blends adventure, identity, and courage in a fast-moving tale set in the world of Narnia.
